In Răzvan Neagoe's first exhibition at Arsmonitor, several of his most important themes, which he has developed and researched over a considerable period of time, are brought into discussion: the urban landscape of his hometown, Bucharest, performances in the midst of nature, and the industrial landscape with the machinery of defunct factories.
Drawn to the experimentally created image in the lab, the artist distinguishes himself through a unique visual language in which he records the effects and defects of photographic equipment, often using expired photographic paper, obsolete cameras, and creating photographs using the most rudimentary methods.
For those passionate about photographic techniques and printed materials, it's worth mentioning that each artwork is accompanied by a gallery text that specifies the type of paper or medium used for printing the images.
