The curatorial program at Arsmonitor gallery continues with a unique group show titled "Table et Tableau," featuring works by Grațian Gâldău, Dumitru Gorzo, Ioana Gorzo, Teodor Graur, Nicu Ilfoveanu, Gili Mocanu, Răzvan Neagoe, Ilie Pavel, Radu Pandele, Bogdan Pelmuș, Magdalena Pelmuș, and Mircea Suciu. The exhibition will open on June 27 and will be accessible to the public until August 29, 2024.
"Table et Tableau" is the fourth exhibition organized by Arsmonitor this year, following a solo show dedicated to Răzvan Neagoe and two duo exhibitions—one dedicated to siblings Ioana Gorzo and Dumitru Gorzo, and another to the couple Magdalena and Bogdan Pelmuș.
The exhibition "Table et Tableau" addresses the issue of the arrangement (not the display) of the "shadow" of the creator and their creation. This form of arrangement provides the viewer with access to a small part of the living archive, composed of notes, sketches, and disparate objects, which form the foundation of the artwork and the identity of a number of artists representative of the various periods and typologies of contemporary Romanian art.
