Florin Mitroi, born on 3 December 1938 in Craiova and gone prematurely in 2002, remains to this day, more than two decades after his death, a very little known artist in the Romanian space and almost entirely unknown in his native city - to which he would return whenever time allowed, and where, in 2018, the Craiova Art Museum hosted a memorable exhibition event, "Years and Years Florin Mitroi," conceived under the curatorial vision of Erwin Kessler.
